VR Fashion Concepts
Year
2023 - 2024
Project Type
VR concept video
Collaborating with fashion creative director major students from the Royal College of Art, I brought their visionary concepts to life in captivating video projects. Despite being not very well rounded in fashion knowledge, the dynamic brain storming sessions and use of mood boards enabled me to bring these creative concepts to life. I leveraged the immersive nature of VR through Unity and brought in a sense of realism into the videos.

VR Body Positivity App Concept

March - April 2024
1 Month Project
This video project aims to visualize a virtual world that encourages body positivity, inclusivity, and self love through 4 unique environments: Home, Square, Therapy Room, and Virtual Wardrobe.
The virtual home is a tranquil personal space for the user to feel comfortable in. They get to customize their avatars to reflect their authentic self, including body size. It empowers them to embrace their own uniqueness.
The square serves a multiplayer hub with an open environment. This is a space where people can gather together and have open dialogues and support each other, or even engage in fun activities.
The therapy room showcases a calming environment. The user is able to have therapeutic discussions tailored for body positivity with animal avatars of their choosing. This space is all about personal growth and emotional well being.
Lastly, the Virtual Wardrobe in contrast is a more energetic and exciting space. It provides the user with a curated selection of purchasable fashion items. The user can widen their selection of outfits that fit their unique image.
For the environments, I created the general structures and unique assets with Maya, and combined them with free Unity assets that I retextured. The lighting is carefully crafted with real time and bakery lights. Furthermore, I used Meta's OVR plug in to achieve the VR interactions such as the gate opening and UI controls.
AR Fashion Walkway

May 2023
1 week project
Fashion walkways are always shrouded in large funding that smaller designers do not have access to. With the rise of AR technology Margaret wanted to envision the ability to turn public spaces into fashion walkways, where the show is completely immersed into the designated landmarks. I designed the UI assets and created a convincing VR environment in Unity to visualize this concept. Most of the 3D assets are from the Unity asset store and Mixamo, with an additional AR goggle I modeled to make the crowd look more convincing. The addition of cars driving through the walk way sells the idea that this is simply a public space. Moreover, with additional discussions we came up with the idea of directly selling fashion items through this virtual show itself, creating a more futuristic aspect of fashion commerce. The video effectively visualizes what an AR fashion show can look like in the future.
